Kathryn provides creative, strategic direction and leadership to the Beacon Academy Trust; developing the vision, values and key aims for the MAT with Trustees and Leaders. She balances her time between BMAT central activity and working closely with the Trust Executive securing improvement across the MAT. Through the identification of key priorities and school improvement strategies she champions collaboration to realise the BMAT vision and values; working towards the agreed goals by constantly reviewing and evaluating progress, value for money and student impact to refresh the vision. Kathryn has a wide-ranging background that includes school and corporate leadership, advisory and consultancy work locally and nationally. Most recently founding BMAT leading on establishing its’ constitution, incorporating the teaching alliance, SCITT (School Centred Initial Teacher Training) and Beacon Business Innovation Hub Free School; whilst building the central services infrastructure to support the BMAT schools and create the capacity to consolidate and grow outstanding BMAT practice to improve student progress and outcomes.

Deep joined Trust in June 2017 as the Finance Director. His key responsibilities include the strategic financial management and the long term financial viability of the Trust. Deep works very closely with the CEO and the Trust Executives, advising on financial matters and key strategic matters.
Deep trained and qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA CGMA) and has worked across a range of businesses and sectors. These include health care, global logistics, asset management, online travel and public relations. He has had the opportunity to experience a wide range of commercial challenges ranging from business start-ups, mergers and takeovers.
From April 2019 Phil has been appointed as co-headteacher at Beal High School. Phil’s focus at Beal will be on the quality of education, particularly teaching, learning and assessment and he will work with staff, students and other stakeholders to ensure we continue to offer an exceptional educational experience which leads to outstanding outcomes and progress. He has spent the majority of his teaching career working in Redbridge schools as a Physics and Psychology teacher, Head of Department and then senior leader. As assistant headteacher at Beal High School, with a responsibility for teaching, learning and assessment, he contributed to the successful Ofsted outstanding grade for the school in 2012. Since then he has helped set up and lead NELTA (North East London Teaching School Alliance), our teaching school alliance, in all of the activities of the alliance including leadership programmes, school to school support and initial teacher training. NELTA is an accredited teacher training provider of School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) which was inspected by Ofsted in 2017 and judged to be outstanding.

From April 2019 Yvonne has been appointed as co-headteacher at Beal High School. Prior to this appointment she was Vice Principal at Beal High School responsible for Progress and leading Key Stage 3, Yvonne has been a teacher at Beal High School since 1995 contributing to its journey to an OFSTED outstanding judgement in 2012. Yvonne has gained her experience through a wide range of roles including; Head of Department, Head of Year and an Assistant Principal responsible for Key Stage 4 Outcomes; contributing to the school achieving the highest ever outcomes for attainment and progress at GCSE. Her broad experience has enabled her to develop a range of skills, always placing great emphasis on achievement for all and developing positive relationships between students, staff, parents/carers and the wider community. Yvonne’s priority at Beal will be to ensure every child succeeds by working with staff, students, parents/carers to provide an ambitious and personalised education within a safe, nurturing environment that ensures choice and success in the world of work.

Will joined The Forest Academy as Principal in September 2020. Will has spent his career so far working in Enfield, most recently as Secondary Headteacher of an Outstanding all-through school.
He is a science teacher by training. Will is looking forward to working with the staff, pupils and parents of Forest Academy to provide a brilliant school for the local community. He is committed to ensuring that all pupils who come to Forest Academy make great academic progress, have high aspirations for themselves and are supported to make decisions about their futures.

Trevor joined as Principal of BBIH in September 2019. Prior to joining, Trevor helped set-up an 16-19 Alternative Provision School in West London which took students from Alternative Provision and helped progress them into university. Trevor had three academic years at school which achieved an Ofsted Good in its first ever inspection and averaged above 90% of students progressing into university. Trevor also has extensive experience of the post-16 sector and has worked at institutions such as Newham College, BSix Sixth Form College, Lewisham and Southwark College and has conducted research projects for the Institute of Education.
Trevor is excited about the role of Principal at BBIH and believes there is great potential within staff and students at the School. The outcomes achieved in 2018 and the progress made by students reinforces this belief and he firmly believes the school will achieve its aims of ensuring all students who attend BBIH will go on to make a positive contribution to society.

She works closely with the BMAT CEO, and the Trust Executive, providing managerial, administrative and clerical support to all; in liaison with the Trust Clerk. She leads on marketing and PR for the Trust including the development of the Trust websites ensuring our compliance and that they provide clear, succinct information
In addition, she runs the calendars for the Executive Principal/BMAT CEO, Kathryn Burns and BMAT Chief Finance Officer, Deep Bamrah. She maintains utmost confidentiality as well as remaining calm under pressure at all times.

As Trust Services Manager Ingrid is responsible for procurement across the Trust in line with our finance policy and the Academies Financial Handbook. She ensures the continuing availability of best value services, utilities and equipment. Ingrid monitors assesses and reviews contractual obligations for outsourced school services via a Contract Management System which ensures effective management of all the Trusts’ contracts She has the responsibility of monitoring the catering requirements across the Trust, as well as being responsible for the letting of Trust premises to external organisations. Ingrid also takes a lead on NELTA and School Direct finance administration and offers support with trainee services.

Ebrahim is Clerk to the Trust. His role is to provide support to Trustees and Local Governing Bodies and Committees on governance, constitutional and procedural matters, in their duties to provide support and challenge to the Executive Team. The role also involves liaising with the members of the Executive Team, Chairs of Trustees and Local Governing Bodies, arranging and managing meetings, maintaining a database of membership, and ensuring vacancies are filled in line with requirements of the constitution and maintain total confidentiality.
