Following a Master’s Degree in French and Modern History from St Andrews University, Emma began a career in business change consulting, working with both Ernst and Young and KPMG over a period of 15 years, throughout the financial services sector. Emma was drawn to a career in business change consulting in financial services, by the large degree of organisational change in this sector. Emma has worked with many of the large banks and insurance companies over a time of immense re-structuring and re-engineering of business practices. Emma is now a Director in Barclays Corporate Bank where she is responsible for large change programmes of over £10M. Emma has teams in both the UK and India which she visits on a regular basis. Emma also has an Executive MBA where she specialised in Emerging Markets and was seconded to the Institute of Management in Bangalore Business School. Emma is also widely involved in Diversity at Barclays and is a regular member of Diversity networks internally and within the Financial Services sector. Emma is also actively involved in mentoring and in addition to her ‘work’ mentees, she mentors students from UEL on transitioning to work and she is involved in careers events at York University in their MBA department. Emma lives in Kent and is getting married this year in September to fiancé David in her home town of York.
